You have entered a category on this website that has over 1000 images on it all pertaining to the Terracina family from the early 60s through the late 80s my great uncle Sal and myself really captured Captain Tony’s Saloon He was Sal’s little brother and my grandfather there was a mask photography-studio above that bar that’s about 25 years worth of incredible imagery my great uncle Sal had studios in New York as far back as the early 30s and myself I also had studios in New York and New Jersey as you get into this category you’ll see gangsters, pirates, strippers all kinds of people we photographed you may see a couple doubles You may see a couple doubles nothing has been edited and there’s a story attached to each image you were actually witnessing the birth of our book
This is my great uncle Sal walking through the graveyard in Hillside New Jersey 1934 He was having a hard time in his Elizabeth studio some of the neighbors weren’t happy about the mask and photography studio and the things that went on there Sal was threatened by the police department to leave town
